How to Make a Pecan Pie

Welcome to our New Chef

As you might have heard, one of our chefs, Mrs. Brown, has recently retired. We have enjoyed working with her and she will be sorely missed. But on a more positive note, we have already acquired a new cook to fill her place. I ask that you all bid Mrs. Smith a warm welcome, as she has now taken up the empty post of cookie baker. She has just moved here from California and is currently settling into her new home. We wish her good luck at work tomorrow!

Birthdays and Holidays

We have been receiving many requests from parents to make birthday or special occasion goods for others. Until recently, we did not do this very much. I am now pleased to inform you that our chefs have combined their knowledge and designed a large number of goods that can be ordered just like any other item. All of these items can be found in our product books on the counters of our store under the new heading Special Occasions. In addition to birthday cakes, we will also be offering other specialized items such as Christmas cookies, Halloween candies, Wedding cakes, or Thanksgiving pies. Our chefs also agreed to allow you to design your own cakes if you wish to. We are sure that you are all looking forward to trying out new products.

Lessons

Recently we noticed that our demonstrations at the sale last week were very successful. Everyone enjoyed learning how to make delicious, fancy looking treats to impress your friends with. So we have decided to offer lessons to teach you more about baking. They will be on Saturday from 6 o'clock to 8 o'clock PM. Our chefs will teach you a variety of things that you can make for anything from midday snacks to parties. Everyone will be impressed with your skills. If you wish to participate, join us this Saturday at the Bakery. We will have more information there and anyone still wishing to participate can sign up there for a $10.00 admission fee. We hope you enjoy!

Sale!

Thank you all for such a warm welcome to this town. Morgan's Bakery has had a steady flow of business since we have arrived. In honor of our recent success, we invite you all to come and enjoy a sale on Saturday, March 28. It will be a 20% off sale for anyone who comes and you will all receive a coupon for a free breakfast. Children under the age of 8 will be allowed to have a free cookie. Our chefs have prepared a special table of treats for everyone to sample and will be demonstrating how to make easy, home-made snacks for you to enjoy. Come and watch us do what we do best!

Grand Opening!

Morgan's Bakery has just recently opened in Helen, Georgia. We are (as you can guess) a bakery store. Unlike other stores, we do not specialize in a specific type of baked good. We sell all kinds. We have a trained cook for every type of baked good imaginable. Our store is open from 6 o'clock AM to 8 o'clock PM on Monday to Friday and from 7 o'clock AM to 6 o'clock PM on Saturday. We are closed on Sunday. Anyone is welcome at any time. Our store provides a comfortable environment for everyone to enjoy. With a large, glass wall at the front of the store and a wide, open room, there is plenty of space for people to come and hang out or just work. There is no separating wall between our customers and our chefs, so you can watch as they cook your food right in front of you. I truly hope that you drop by sometime. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner, we'll be waiting!
